Local Nonprofit hosts 4th Annual Montana Women’s Leadership Conference
The Junior League of Billings is proud to host Billings’ only women’s leadership conference of its kind. This powerful conference will span themes of professional, personal and community leadership to inspire and elevate Montana women. These themes closely tie in with the organization’s mission of promoting leadership by developing the potential of women. This conference will offer exposure to diverse, nationally recognized speakers, and accomplished female role models. The conference keynote is an international master speaker, author, intuitive mentor, and survivor, Donna Hartley. Donna is a sought-after expert on surviving challenges and developing heart-centered leadership. Hour-long workshops will continue by promoting the professional and personal development of women. These workshops will be taught by local leaders in the community and include topics such as Courage — It Comes from Your Heart, Rewriting Your Leadership Story (Do you Lead by Design or Default?), Lead with your Strengths, Leadership: Focused on the Goal, Not Only the Role, Invest, Inspire, Empower, Leading with Intention, Middle-Class Millionaires, How to generate more business from Social Media without spending a dime, and R.O.A.D.B.L.O.C.K.S that we Face in Life and Business. The Junior League of Billings, Inc. (founded in 1954 and incorporated in 1970) is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
The League has a long and distinguished history and a dynamic future. Members are part of a network of approximately 200 women locally and 170,000 women in 294 Leagues internationally, all working toward a common mission. The Junior League of Billings list of accomplishments includes developing Wise Wonders, A Montana Children’s Museum, the Tumbleweed Runaway Program, the Playground for all Children at Rose Park, and Venture into Schools. Today, the Junior League of Billings is focused on homelessness and poverty by hosting a monthly Free Laundry Day at a local laundromat.
