Alison James (Watt)

Title: Owner of Beautiful Directions Counseling, LCPC, LAC

Organization/Business: Beautiful Directions Counseling

Website: www.beautifuldirectionscounseling.com

Bio: I was raised on the Flathead Indian reservation. I am the youngest of 3 girls all a year apart. I didn’t know my dad, my mother was very emotionally, physically and mentally abusive and my step dad was a child molester. My ACES Score is a 7 with the only things that didn’t happen was no one went to prison, no one was addicted to anything and my mom was not being beaten. My childhood was very lonely I was bullied at school and all I really remember is always being scared. At 14 I discovered King Alcohol and spent the next 24 years battling alcoholism, toxic behavior on my part and the relationships I chose to get into I knew that I was fatally flawed with no hope being successful. My self esteem was non existent, I would not stick up for myself because I didn’t believe that was a right I had. I had minimum wage jobs primarily as I dropped out of High School when I was a senior but did get my GED. At the age of 38 I was convicted of Felony Tampering with evidence for forging a letter to a Judge insinuating I had completed a 30 day treatment program after receiving a Misdemeanor DUI. I turned a misdemeanor into a felony and because I couldn’t stop drinking and was not in compliance with probation so I was sent to Passages January 23, 2010. It was that experience and something so small as someone remembering my name which was the grain of sand I was able to build on that began to lead me to the understanding that I do have value, I am worth while and I can be successful. Upon release I began going to school because I really knew I didn’t want to use again and I didn’t want to be in custody again and needed something productive to do with my time. Plus I distant to die without a college degree. I majored in Psychology and before I knew It I was graduating and the facility that housed me in 2010 became my employer in 2016. I decided there was not much a person can do with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology so I better go to grad school so I did. In all honesty in hindsight I probably went to college for Psychology to fix my own but in Grad school I became fascinated by human behavior. I graduated from grad school and got all my supervision hours at passages and then in Aug of 2020 I stopped working at Passages and worked solely in my own private practice. I did that for about 4 years and then in December of 2023 expanded my practice to a group private practice. The group had been an amazing learning experience, growth opportunity, school of hard knocks and somedays just awful. However I remained sober for just about 16 years, had a baby at 43 years old, married an amazing man, bought a house by myself and my message is a message of hope. If your struggling don’t give up, believe in yourself even when it’s hard and get out of your way. You will make all your dreams come true. I am now a dually licensed mental health provider licensed in both Montana and Texas as well as a EMDRIA Certified EMDR therapist.

Beth Caldwell

Title: Esthetician... no other letters after my name, officially. But, I think connector, listener, supporter, sister, daughter, aunt... all fall under title

Organization/Business: BC Beauty

Website: bcbeauty.biz... again, I don't have official titles, this is my business website

Bio: Hey there! I’m Beth Caldwell—esthetician, wax wizard, skincare matchmaker, and the face behind BC Beauty. I’ve been doing this magical skincare thing since 2005 (wild, right?), and I launched BC Beauty, LLC in 2018 to bring a little more pampering, confidence, and TLC into people’s lives.

I studied at The Academy of Nails, Skin and Hair in Billings after growing up in Forsyth, MT—a place that still holds a big piece of my heart. I even had a movie-theater wedding there where everyone dressed up as their favorite character. (Yes, it was exactly as fun and extra as it sounds.)

Skincare is my love language. My mission? Helping you treat yourself—BeCause you deserve it! Whether you’re here for a peaceful facial escape or a waxing session with zero awkward vibes, I customize every service to you and your skin’s unique needs. I’ve been told I’m kind, focused, funny, and maybe just a little obsessed with making people feel at home (and hey, I’ll take it). Expect calm vibes, attention to detail, a dash of humor, and that “dang, I feel good” glow when you leave.

I also carry my own line of BC Beauty organic skincare—crafted in Montana by a fellow woman-owned company. Everything I use and recommend has intention behind it. I want your skin to feel amazing and your shelf to look cute.

Outside the treatment room, you can usually find me exploring downtown Billings, diving into community events, or planning my next quirky adventure—fondue night? I’m in. Breakfast with Santa? Been there. I’m also proudly involved in the Yellowstone Historical Society, where we help preserve and share the stories of our region’s past through tours, historic markers, and all kinds of local lore. It’s like skincare for the soul—nourishing the roots of our community.

When I’m not with clients, you’ll probably catch me with headphones on—deep into an audiobook or nerding out over a business podcast. (Caffeine? Who needs it when you’ve got this much energy?) Tea and water are my go-tos. No kids, no pets, no plants—just me, my husband George (the real MVP), and this awesome life we’ve built together.

Whether you’ve been with me for years or you’re new-ish and finding your groove, just know I’m so grateful to be part of your self-care routine. My clients mean the world to me, and I’m all about deepening those connections, not just filling appointment slots. So thank you—truly—for letting me be a  part of your skincare journey. Let’s keep glowing together.
